The Association of Water and Sanitation Utilities from different towns in South Sudan such as Yei Town Water and Sanitation Services (YTWSS) incorporation certificate on 12th Apr 2012; Yambio Urban Water And Sanitation Company (YUWASCO) incorporation certificate on 29th Jul 2013, Torit Urban Water and Sanitation Services (TUWSS) incorporation certificate on 31st Mar 2015, Gumbo Water and Sanitation Company Limited (GuWaSCo) incorporation certificate on 05th Oct 2020, are the members of the water and sanitation utilities in South Sudan.

Our Members
In 2010 Yei was selected to receive support from the German Government to improve the water supply and sanitation situation in Yei Town by a) setting up a commercially operating water utility and b) implementing a phased investment programme to extend existing water supply and sanitation infrastructure.
The Gumbo Water and Sanitation Company (GuWaSCo) is a publicly owned company that has been established and registered under the South Sudan Company Act in October 2020. The purpose of the company is to manage the water and sanitation infrastructure in the Gumbo-Rejaf area.
German Government has been assisting the Government of Republic of South Sudan in developing strategies for reconstruction and development of the Country. German has supported the water sector since 2006 through technical and financial cooperation, mainly through GIZ and KFW. The support started in Juba at national level, Yei, Yambio and then Torit.
